Following meetings this term with trustees, governors and senior staff a change is proposed to the Admissions Policy starting with the 2017/2018 intake. From September 2016 the school's admission number will be 35. The school's admission number is currently 40.
Admissions Appeal Timetable 2018
Monday 16th April - Parents informed by Wakefield LA where their child has been offered a place.
Parents who have been unsuccessful in obtaining a place at their preferred school will be sent an Admissions Appeal form and guidance on the appeals process. Parents are requested to complete and return their Appeal form within 20 school days.
Tuesday 17th May - Deadline for submitting Appeal Forms
No appeals will be arranged or heard until the deadline for submitting Appeals has passed.
Important - if you do not submit your Appeal form by the deadline, your Appeal may not be heard with all the other appeals being heard for St Helen's CE Primary School.
Late May onwards - Appeal hearings
No appeals will be heard before this date due to the required notice period. Parents will be sent a letter informing them of the date and time of the appeal hearing. At least 10 school days notice of the hearing date will be given.
Appeals for mid-year transfers
Parents are requested to complete and return their Appeal form with 20 school days from the notification that their application was unsuccessful.
Appeals will usually be heard with 30 school days of the appeal being lodged. Parents will be sent a letter informing them of the date and time of the appeal hearing. At least 10 school days notice of the hearing date will be given.
